Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting with a number of concerned ministry leaders, to follow up on the project to establish the New Heliopolis Hospital affiliated with the General Authority for Health Insurance, in cooperation with the Italian “San Donato” hospital group to manage and operate the project, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry’s official spokesman, explained that the meeting discussed the current completion rates of the project, and mechanisms for joint cooperation with the Italian side to manage and operate the hospital, similar to the experience of the “Gustave Rousset” Hospital, which reflects positively on the quality of services provided to citizens.
He added that the minister stressed the importance of mechanizing the entire project and establishing it in accordance with the standards of the comprehensive health insurance system, in preparation for its inclusion within the system when the governorate enters the comprehensive coverage framework.
The meeting was attended by Major General Amr Ayed, Assistant Minister for Information Systems and Digital Transformation, Dr. Sherif Mustafa, Assistant Minister for National Projects, Dr. Ahmed Mostafa, President of the General Authority for Health Insurance, Engineer Sayed Ezzat, from the Office of the Minister’s Legal Advisor, Dr. Zainab Al-Sadr, Assistant Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Sayed Galal, Head of the Central Administration for Medical Affairs at the Authority, and Dr. Wahba Al-Zawam, Head of the Central Administration for Financial Affairs at the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance.
