The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association, headed by Representative Ahmed Diab, issued several decisions after its meeting held today.
In an official statement issued by the Club Association, the Club Association said: The Association’s Board of Directors met and decided to authorize Representative Ahmed Diab, President of the Association, and Ibrahim Al-Kafrawi, Vice President of the Association, to negotiate the new name for the new season of the Nile League, and a conference will be held next April.
The association added in its statement: “The Council authorized Dr. Khaled Refaat to host the African Leagues Leagues meeting and the representative of the World Leagues Federation, which Egypt will host at the end of March.”
The association indicated in its statement that the association’s board of directors decided the draw for the second stage of the Nile League for the 25-26 season following the end of the first stage in mid-next March.
A vision for merging popular clubs with institutional clubs
Earlier, Representative Ahmed Diab, President of the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association, confirmed that there is a clear plan to merge public clubs with institutional clubs in a way that serves the development of Egyptian football.
Diab said, in television statements: “In the Senate Youth and Sports Committee, we have an idea for mass clubs, and we spoke about it with Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, the former Minister of Sports, and we will continue the discussions with Gohar Nabil. Our project is clear and frank, and is based on merging mass clubs with institutional clubs.”
He added: “According to the project presented in the Senate, this will serve the clubs, and its results will be rapid, whether for the Egyptian League clubs or the professional and second-tier clubs, and within one or two seasons, the fan clubs will return to competing in the league.”
He concluded his statements by saying: “Egypt has good infrastructure and distinctive stadiums, and what we only need is organization and coordination to provide better stadiums for all clubs.”
