Today, Governor of the New Valley, Hanan Magdy, inspected the drinking water station in Sabt al-Bahri in the city of Kharga. To follow up on the efficiency of operation and find out the reasons for some complaints received from the service during the past days, she is accompanied by Mohamed Kajak, Deputy Governor, Major General Yasser Kamal El-Din, Head of the Kharga Center, and Brigadier General Hossam Mohamed, Head of the New Valley Sector at the Assiut and New Valley Water and Sanitation Company.
Improving the quality of service in regions and neighborhoods
The governor listened to a detailed explanation about the station’s operating system, the ongoing partial replacement and renovation work scheduled to be completed within 48 hours, and the station’s full capacity operation, which amounts to 3,200 cubic meters per day, to improve the quality of service in the areas and neighborhoods covered by the station.
The governor also followed up on the position of the partial replacement work for the filters being implemented within the current year’s plan, which includes the implementation of complete replacement work at the Sana’a, Al-Sabt, Al-Zuhur and Al-Zahraa stations, in addition to the implementation of a partial replacement for the Al-Munira station, directing the preparation of a detailed report that includes the operational position of all stations at the governorate level, including the operating position of the Hayat Karima village stations in the Farafra center.
