Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun received Governor Port SaidDr. Ayman Abbas, Head of the Central Administration of the General Secretariat of Mental Health, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Raouf, Director of the Mental Health Hospital in Port Said, at the governorate’s general office, to discuss ways to support and develop mental health services provided to the people of the governorate.
The meeting reviewed the level Therapeutic services And rehabilitation provided by the Mental Health Hospital in Port Said, and discussed plans to develop the infrastructure and raise the efficiency of the various departments, in a way that keeps pace with modern standards in providing psychiatric services and addiction treatment, and enhances the hospital’s ability to receive cases and provide the necessary care in accordance with the latest medical systems.
Mental health file
The Governor of Port Said stressed that the mental health file represents an integral part of the comprehensive health system, stressing the importance of providing a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for patients, and expanding community awareness programs to introduce the importance of psychological treatment and integrating patients into society in a healthy and safe way.
The governor also discussed mechanisms for enhancing cooperation between the governorate and the Ministry of Health and Population, to support medical personnel and provide the necessary technical needs and equipment, which contributes to raising the efficiency of performance within the hospital and improving the quality of services provided to citizens, stressing continued follow-up to achieve the best level of medical care for the people of Port Said.
