Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, Governor Port Saida decision to implement the remote work system on Sunday of every week for a full month, starting from April 5, 2026, in implementation of the mandates of the Council of Ministers and within the framework of the state’s plan to rationalize energy consumption and raise operating efficiency.

He explained Governor The decision was applied to departments of an office nature in the general office of the governorate, the districts, the city of Port Fouad, and the service directorates, as well as jobs that do not require direct interaction with citizens or that can be accomplished electronically, while service and field jobs and the entities supervising the implementation of projects were excluded, to ensure the continued provision of services without being affected.

The Governor of Port Said confirmed that the decision aimed to maintain the regularity of work and provide public services efficiently, with the authorities’ commitment to determining the necessary number of workers for physical presence according to work needs, ensuring that the interests of citizens are not disrupted.

He stressed the commitment of workers to the remote work system to carry out the tasks assigned to them, to continuous communication with their employers, and to quickly respond to any assignments, stressing that non-compliance is a violation that requires legal accountability.

The Governor directed the General Administration of Internal Audit and Governance to follow up on the implementation of the decision and prepare weekly reports to monitor the extent of compliance and identify any obstacles, in preparation for presenting them and taking the necessary measures, stressing that any violation of the work system or obstruction of the interests of citizens will be met with decisive legal measures.
