Major General Tariq Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, appointed Dr. Hussein Maghribi, Deputy Governor, to head the permanent committee formed by Resolution No. 454 of 2025, to research and study applications submitted to establish investment projects on agricultural lands in the centers and cities of the governorate.

This comes within the framework of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to support the national economy, and in implementation of the assignments of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and the follow-up of Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Environment, regarding expanding the establishment of national projects and attracting investments.

The Governor of Dakahlia explained that the projects to be implemented aim to support agricultural, poultry and animal production, and include establishing refrigerators to preserve vegetables, fruits, meat and poultry, poultry breeding and livestock fattening farms, crop sorting and packing stations, and livestock trading markets.

He added that the plan also includes service projects for the agricultural sector, such as stations for fueling cars and equipment with gasoline, diesel, and natural gas, and gas depots, which contribute to developing the agricultural production system and providing the necessary services for it.

Marzouk pointed out the importance of expanding the establishment of new investment and industrial projects, which contribute to advancing production, providing job opportunities for young people, and reducing dependence on imports, in a way that reduces the pressure on the hard currency.

He stressed that Dakahlia Governorate has promising investment potential, from a distinct geographical location, the availability of trained manpower, as well as the presence of investors and businessmen with great experience in various industrial fields.

The meeting witnessed the presence of a number of executive leaders, including officials from agriculture, supply, veterinary medicine, housing, roads, and the Egypt Gas Company, in addition to officials from the departments of investment, urban planning, and legal and environmental affairs.

During the meeting, a number of proposed projects were studied within the Aja, Belqas and Nabarouh centers, in preparation for presenting them to the Supreme Investment Committee headed by the Governor, for approval, within the framework of the governorate’s plan to promote economic development and provide job opportunities.
