Major General Muhammad Alwan, Governor, participated AssiutPeople of Determination and their families, a group Ramadan Iftar celebration organized by the Communication and Skills Development Centers of the Youth and Sports Directorate, in cooperation with the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, at the Nasser Youth Center in the eastern neighborhood of Assiut.
This came with the participation of a large number of people with special abilities and their families of different ages, and this comes within the framework of the state’s interest in caring for and supporting people of determination, and in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to provide various aspects of care for people with special abilities, and to work to integrate them into society and enable them to actively participate in various activities and events.
Breakfast for people of determination at youth and sports centers
The breakfast ceremony was attended by Dr. Mina Emad, Deputy Governor, Counselor Mohamed Kamel, Legal Advisor to the Governorate, Ahmed Suwaifi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Assiut, Abu Al-Oyoun Ibrahim, Head of the East District of Assiut City, Atef Mohamed, Assistant Undersecretary, Ahmed Selim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nasser Youth Center, and Magdy Abdel Rahman, Director of the Office for People of Determination in the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Assiut.
The activities began with the playing of the national anthem, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by the child, Hudhayfah Osama, a person of determination, then a section of religious songs presented by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Qalioubi, in addition to a singing section by the student Mustafa Kamal, amid a joyful Ramadan atmosphere characterized by interaction and joy among the attendees.
During the ceremony, the Governor of Assiut expressed his happiness with the participation of his children with disabilities and their families in this Ramadan atmosphere, stressing that people with disabilities receive unprecedented attention from the political leadership, which places them at the top of its priorities. He pointed out that our children with disabilities represent honorable models of will and determination, and are capable of achieving success and changing their reality for the better with the energies, creativity, and talents they possess that contribute to serving their community and their country.
Major General Muhammad Alwan also stressed the importance of the communication and skills development centers that were established within youth centers in various parts of the governorate, as they provide free therapeutic and rehabilitative services to people of determination, which contributes to developing their skills, developing their capabilities, and integrating them further into society.
For his part, Ahmed Suwaifi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Assiut, explained that the Directorate pays great attention to the file of people of determination through the implementation of many programs and activities within youth centers, stressing the continuation of work to provide a supportive environment that helps them develop their abilities and discover their talents, in a way that enhances their societal integration in implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Assiut Governorate.
At the conclusion of the event, the participants were keen to take souvenir photos with the governor, in an atmosphere that reflected the spirit of love and harmony that characterizes the holy month.
