Details of the Governor of Alexandria’s meeting with the Minister of Higher Education
This came during the reception of Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Alexandria, at the governorate’s general office, with Dr. Abdel Aziz Qanswa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, within the framework of enhancing aspects of joint cooperation between the governorate and research institutions, and discussing ways to support the scientific research system and employ it to serve the development and development plans within the governorate.
The governor added that Alexandria, with its ancient educational and research institutions, led by Alexandria University, is an important center for science and knowledge, stressing the governorate’s keenness to open continuous channels of cooperation with universities and researchers to support development projects and adopt innovative ideas that contribute to developing the executive and service work system in the governorate.
For his part, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research congratulated the Governor of Alexandria on assuming his duties, wishing him success. He also expressed his appreciation for the existing cooperation with the Alexandria Governorate, stressing that the Ministry pays great attention to directing the outputs of scientific research to serve community issues, pointing to the importance of strengthening partnerships between universities and executive agencies in a way that contributes to achieving comprehensive development and supporting innovation and entrepreneurship among youth and researchers.
The meeting discussed mechanisms for supporting applied scientific research and linking it to the governorate’s needs in a number of vital sectors, including: resource management, the environment, and digital transformation, as well as discussing ways to enhance cooperation between the governorate and Alexandria University in implementing studies and research projects that serve local development, in addition to supporting scientific and innovative initiatives that contribute to developing the services provided to citizens.
