The governorate warns citizens of high wind speeds

The governor assigned the heads of neighborhoods, the sanitation company, and all concerned parties to have an intensive field presence in the vital concentration areas around the clock, stressing that work continues at full capacity during the days of the Eid al-Fitr holiday to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and to drain any accumulations of rainwater as soon as they occur, in a way that does not disturb the citizens’ celebrations.

Engineer Ayman Attia pointed out the necessity of immediate follow-up through the “National Network Control Center” and the governorate’s operations room, in coordination with the sub-rooms in the neighborhoods to receive any emergency reports, directing the technical teams to review the efficiency of Al-Shanayesh and the readiness of the lifting pumps in all “hot areas” and main axes.

Alexandria Governorate has urged citizens to exercise caution, adhere to public safety guidelines, and avoid walking next to billboards or dilapidated lighting poles during the period of active winds. It also stresses to beachgoers the need to be careful due to the speed of the winds and the turbulent sea conditions, in order to preserve lives and property.
