The Electricity Holding Company notifies distribution companies of a new mechanism for accounting for the cost of power delivery
The letter referred to the letter of the Electricity Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency, which included the issuance of the Authority’s Board of Directors’ Resolution No. 42 of 2024, related to determining the actual cost of electricity delivery, provided that it is applied in accordance with what was agreed upon during the joint meetings with representatives of the companies.
The holding company confirmed that a copy of the letter from the Electricity Utility Regulatory Authority was sent, attaching to it what was agreed upon regarding the mechanism for calculating the connection cost, in preparation for the start of actual implementation within the distribution companies.
She stressed the need for all companies to adhere to what was stated in the instructions of the regulatory body, and to work in accordance with the new controls to ensure transparency in calculating costs and protecting the rights of consumers.
