The path of the two teams in the tournament
The Algerian national team qualified for the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup, after being at the top of the fourth and final group, while the UAE national team clinched its qualification after being runner-up in the third group.
In the first round of the last group, the Algerian national team tied 0-0 against the Sudan national team, and in the second round the Desert Warriors won over the Bahrain national team with a score of 5-1, and in the last round it defeated the Iraqi team with a score of 2-0.
While the UAE national team lost in the first round of the third group, to its Jordanian counterpart, with a score of 2-1, and in the second round, it tied with the Egyptian national team, 1-1, and in the last round, it defeated the Kuwait national team, 3-1.
