A new Iranian threat to American companies
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard responded by issuing a new threat, saying that it would target American companies in the region in response to the attacks on Iran since Wednesday, as it cited a list of 18 companies that include Microsoft, Google, Apple, Intel, International Business Machines (IBM), Tesla, and Boeing.
Iran had previously attacked a fully loaded crude oil tanker, causing it to catch fire off the coast of Dubai, in its latest attacks on commercial ships in the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz since the US-Israeli attack on it on February 28.
US President Donald Trump threatened on Monday to destroy Iranian power plants unless it agrees to conclude a peace agreement and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway for global oil shipments, which Tehran has made closed.
