The security services at the Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances of a post supported by a video clip that was circulated on one of the personal accounts on social networking sites, which included that the account holder was harmed by someone stealing a laptop from inside a car in one of the areas in Assiut.
The accused was arrested for stealing a laptop from inside a car in Assiut
Upon examination, it was revealed that no reports had been received in this regard, and that on 2/15/2026, when an angel car belonging to a person residing in the New Assiut Police Department stopped, in the Second Assiut Police Department, a person stole a laptop from inside it.
It was possible to identify and arrest the perpetrator of the incident, a worker with criminal information residing in the Assiut Second Police Department, who was in possession of the seized laptop. When confronted, he confessed to committing the incident as referred to, and legal measures were taken.
