Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Ismail Baghaei, said that Iran does not trust American diplomacy, noting that the previous experience was very bad, as the country was subjected to two attacks within just 9 months while it was in the middle of the negotiation process.

Baghaei added during an interview with India Today channel that this behavior constitutes a betrayal of diplomacy, stressing that any dialogue or negotiations between Iran and the United States do not currently exist, and that the Iranian armed forces are focused on defending the country’s territory.
He pointed out that the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mr. Qalibaf, is a prominent politician who works within the constitutional framework and his powers specified in the constitution, stressing that the distribution of tasks among officials in the country is clear and transparent.
