Dr. Ismail Al-Hafnawi, Director General of the General Authority for Health Care Branch, conducted the study In Port SaidHe made a series of surprise field tours inside a number of health facilities in the governorate on his first day in office, where he inspected Al-Salam Hospital, Al-Zohour Hospital, and the East Al-Nawadi Family Medicine Center, to follow up on the discipline of work progress and to ensure the level of medical services provided to beneficiaries, in implementation of the directives of Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Care and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance System.

He also followed up on the medication dispensing system and ensured the availability of medical supplies necessary to serve patients, stressing the need for full compliance with quality and discipline standards within all of the Authority’s facilities.

During his tours, Al-Hafnawi listened to the opinions and observations of a number of citizens frequenting hospitals and family medicine centers about the level of service provided, directing that any observations be quickly dealt with and immediate corrective measures be taken to ensure the improvement of the experience of receiving health services.

The Director of the General Authority for Health Care in Port Said branch confirmed that surprise field tours will continue periodically within all health facilities, with the aim of monitoring performance on the ground and ensuring the provision of integrated health care befitting the people of Port Said, while strengthening communication mechanisms with beneficiaries and quickly responding to their complaints, in order to achieve the Authority’s vision of developing the health system and improving the quality of medical services.
