The Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade announcedSohag Pumping large quantities of household butane cylinders into various centers and villages of the governorate, in order to ensure that the needs of citizens are met and to eliminate any crises.
This comes based on the instructions of Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and the directives of Major General Tariq Rashid, Governor of Sohag, and under the supervision of Dr. Sameh Al-Tuni, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Sohag.
Dr. Sameh Al-Tuni explained that the total amount of household stove cylinders pumped and distributed in all cities and villages of Sohag Governorate from the beginning of March until March 11, 2026 amounted to 668,760 household stove cylinders, at a rate exceeding 60,000 cylinders per day, within the framework of the directorate’s plan to provide citizens’ needs on an ongoing basis.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Sohag indicated that more household cylinders are being reinforced and pumped into various warehouses, to eliminate any accumulations or crises once and for all.
Al-Tuni stressed that there will be no tolerance for black market traders, stressing the application of legal measures against anyone who dares to tamper with citizens’ livelihoods, while intensifying daily oversight of markets, shops, commodity companies and stores, butane depots, and gas stations throughout the governorate.
