The “Shahid” platform announced the screening of the film “Spring Laughs In” during the coming period, after its participation in a number of international festivals.
The film won a number of awards at the Cairo International Film Festival in its forty-fifth session, including the International Critics’ Jury Award “FIPRESI” and the Salah Abu Seif Award for Best Director, which was won by Noha Adel. The film also won the Best Film award equally in the international competition, in addition to a special mention for the artist Rehab Anan for her outstanding performance.
The events of the work take place during the spring season, with its volatile nature, as it presents four stories ranging from secrets, anger, sorrows, and tears hidden behind apparent laughter. As the season ends and the flowers fade, an early autumn surprises the viewer, concluding these stories in an unexpected way.
It is noteworthy that the film was written and directed by Noha Adel, and produced by Kawthar Younes and Ahmed Youssef, with the participation of Laura Nikolov, Samar Hindawi, and Sandro Kanaan. Sarah Yahya also participated in managing the photography, Sarah Abdullah in the editing, the sound recording was handled by Mustafa Shaaban, and the mixing was handled by Ahmed Abu Al-Saad, while Sami Nassar and Ahmed Shafi’i provided the coloring work.
Salma Taymour designed the decor, Mushira Al-Fahham designed the costumes, while Maysoon Al-Masry executed the executive direction, and Marcus Arian prepared the montage of the sequences.
The movie “Spring Has Come Laughing,” which is shown in Cairo and a number of governorates, stars Sally Abdo, Mukhtar Younes, Rehab Anan, Reem Akkad, Carole Akkad, Mona Al-Namouri, Sam Salah, and Roca Yasser.
