An official source in Giza Governorate revealed that the collapse of a property on Al-Hunaidi Street in the Imbaba area resulted in the injury of 6 citizens, who were transferred to Imbaba General Hospital to receive the necessary first aid and medical care.

The source explained in statements to Cairo 24 that the properties adjacent to the collapsed property were evacuated as a precautionary measure, and a specialized engineering committee was formed to inspect the neighboring buildings and determine the extent to which they were affected by the collapse, in order to ensure the safety of the residents.

He stressed that search operations are still continuing under the rubble to ensure that there are no other missing persons, noting that the Assistant Secretary General of Giza Governorate was present at the site of the accident on behalf of the governor to follow up on the efforts of the Civil Protection Forces in removing the debris and coordinating with the relevant authorities.

The source indicated that all concerned authorities are working in full coordination to ensure the safety of citizens and reduce risks in the region, stressing that investigations are continuing to find out the causes of the collapse and take the necessary measures to prevent its recurrence.
