The Saudi Council of Ministers, headed by Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, approved the cancellation of the financial compensation imposed on expatriate workers in licensed industrial establishments, based on what was submitted by the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, according to what was reported by Saudi reports.

According to reports, the decision comes as an extension of the continuous support that the industrial sector enjoys from the Saudi leadership, and within the framework of the Crown Prince’s keenness to empower national factories and enhance their sustainability and competitiveness at the global level.

Kingdom Vision 2030

This cancellation is considered a strategic step towards achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, by building a competitive and flexible industrial economy, considering the industry as one of the basic pillars of diversifying sources of national income and strengthening the non-oil economy.
