The Egyptian Medicines Authority confirmed the continuation of work at all customs ports and ports during Eid al-Fitr, to ensure the continued release of shipments of medicines, pharmaceutical raw materials, and medical supplies, and their availability in the Egyptian market without any delay, with full adherence to technical standards and regulatory controls to ensure quality and safety.

These measures come in line with the regularity of work at all ports on Thursday, March 19, noting that the Eid holiday will be limited to the first two days only, with work resuming starting on the third day of Eid, in continuous coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure the continuation of the customs release process without any interruption.
The team of pharmacists affiliated with the Egyptian Drug Authority continues to work inside customs ports to facilitate and speed up release procedures, to ensure the availability of pharmaceutical items and basic materials in the Egyptian market, and to ensure the continuity of drug supply chains without any interruption.
This comes within the framework of the Egyptian Medicine Authority’s keenness to enhance national pharmaceutical security and ensure the continuity of supply chains for medicines, pharmaceutical raw materials and medical supplies, in a way that supports meeting the needs of patients in the local market without any interruption, and reflects the Authority’s commitment to its role in protecting the health of citizens and preserving the quality and safety of pharmaceutical items.
