The authority explained, in a statement issued by it, that areas of the northern coasts, northern Lower Egypt, and the Gulf of Suez will witness moderate rains that may be heavy and thundery at times at intermittent intervals, pointing out the possibility of them reaching the point of flooding in some areas of Sinai.
The Authority also expected chances of light rain falling on areas of Greater Cairo, the Canal Cities, North and Central Upper Egypt, the Red Sea mountain ranges, and the Western Desert, and it may be moderate at times with an incidence rate of approximately 30% in some areas and at intermittent intervals.
The statement indicated wind activity at speeds ranging between 40 and 50 kilometers per hour in most areas, which leads to stirring up sand and dust, especially in the areas of the Western Desert, the south of the country, Greater Cairo, the Canal Cities, Sinai, and some areas of the Red Sea Governorate, which may cause the level of horizontal visibility to deteriorate to less than a thousand meters in some areas.
