Ahmed Abdel Aziz Zizo, the technical director of the Smouha team, explained that the current season in the Egyptian Premier League is one of the most difficult seasons that the team has experienced, noting that the players and technical staff have made a great effort since the beginning of the preparation period.

Abdel Aziz explained, during television statements, that the team went through difficult circumstances at the beginning of the season, as the results were not stable, and success was absent in a number of matches that ended in a draw despite the good performance, before things gradually changed and the results turned positive with the achievement of several victories in the recent period.
Smouha’s coach spoke about the recent victory his team achieved against Modern Sport, stressing that the match was very strong, especially since the competitor entered the match with the goal of achieving victory, adding that he knows well the style of the competitor’s coach Ahmed Sami, who he previously worked with, and always relies on offensive play, which made the match open and difficult for the two teams.
Smouha’s coach indicated that the features of the match changed after the expulsion of one of the Modern Sport players during the first ten minutes, which helped Smouha gain better control and decide the match in its favor.
Abdel Aziz also confirmed that Smouha’s arrival in the top seven positions and qualifying to play in the league’s winning group is a great achievement, especially since it was not the team’s primary goal at the beginning of the season, but the distinguished performance of the players and the efforts of the technical staff contributed to achieving this achievement.
Smouha’s coach added that the team’s ambitions became greater after qualifying, as Smouha seeks to reach the furthest possible point in the ranking table, explaining that the current goal is to compete to enter the semi-finals, while motivating the players by amending the list of rewards if this achievement is achieved.
The technical director concluded his statements by emphasizing that his team played strong matches against the top teams such as Al-Ahly, Zamalek, and Pyramids, stressing that Smouha possesses distinguished elements and players with a fighting spirit, which gives the team the ability to compete strongly in the league’s crowning group.
