The Directorate of Health Affairs in Qalyubia announced that all health facilities at the governorate level have been raised to the maximum level of preparedness, to confront the repercussions of bad weather conditions and ensure the safety of citizens.

Dr. Osama Al-Shalaqani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Qalyubia, confirmed that the Crisis and Emergency Room at the Directorate’s General Office has been activated around the clock, with full coordination with the Emergency and Critical and Urgent Care Department, and the directors of the technical departments, to follow up on the situation first hand and ensure a rapid response to any emergency.

The Undersecretary pointed out the full readiness of the reception and emergency departments in hospitals, and the presence of medical and nursing teams around the clock, with the regular workflow without obstacles, and the provision of medical services with the required efficiency.

He added that the degree of readiness in intensive care departments had been raised, with the stock of medicines, medical supplies and blood bags reviewed, and the readiness of rapid deployment teams to intervene immediately in critical cases, in addition to activating sub-crisis rooms in all health departments and linking them to the main crisis room to ensure speedy decision-making.

Emergency management, critical and urgent care teams also visited hospitals to ensure regularity of work, speed of dealing with critical cases, and operating efficiency within intensive care departments.

The Undersecretary stressed the importance of periodically reviewing the stock of oxygen and blood bags, testing the efficiency of diesel generators, and ensuring full readiness to face any sudden power outage, while immediately reporting any malfunctions to the crisis room to take the necessary measures without delay.

Al-Shalakani concluded his statements by stressing that the current stage requires the highest levels of coordination and integration between all parties, and working in a single team spirit, to ensure the provision of the best possible medical service and to preserve the health and safety of citizens.
These measures come within the plan of the Directorate of Health Affairs in Qalyubia to manage crises and emergencies, ensuring the continuity of providing health services efficiently and with high quality in various circumstances.
