The Health Directorate in Beni Suef Governorate continued to implement free therapeutic medical convoys in the villages most in need, within the framework of the presidential initiative “A Decent Life,” with the aim of providing health services to citizens and relieving their burdens, as a medical convoy was implemented in the village of Al-Ajra, affiliated with the Biba Center.

Dr. Hani Jumaa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Beni Suef, explained that the convoy included 8 medical clinics in 7 specialties, including: internal medicine, children, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology, family planning, and orthopedics, with the participation of the medical convoy team at the Health Directorate.

He added that the convoy resulted in 59 blood tests, 33 parasitology tests, and 5 normal x-rays, in addition to referring two cases for preparation of medical reports and treatment at state expense.

The convoy also included the implementation of health education seminars that benefited 160 citizens, covering a number of important health topics, including coronavirus prevention, pregnancy follow-up, family planning, breast cancer, food safety, the dangers of misuse of medications, and the importance of breastfeeding.

The Undersecretary indicated that early detection tests for blood pressure and diabetes were conducted for 234 citizens, bringing the total medical services provided by the convoy to 3,199 free services.
