The prices of white chickens recorded a noticeable increase in today’s trading, Friday, March 6, 2026, as the price of a kilo on the farm reached 100 pounds, delivered to the farm land, while the selling price to the consumer in the markets ranged between 105 and 115 pounds.
This price movement comes in conjunction with the increase in local demand rates during the holy month of Ramadan, amid careful monitoring by citizens and traders of the latest updates on the poultry stock exchange, which is witnessing a state of intense activity.

The prices of red “sasso” poultry also witnessed relative stability at high levels, as the price of a kilo on the stock exchange ranged around 105 pounds, reaching the consumer at a price ranging between 110 and 125 pounds, depending on the residential area and transportation costs.
Market experts explained that the price differences between the governorates are due to the profit margins of retailers, stressing that the current abundance contributes to the market’s balance despite seasonal purchasing pressures.
Today, Friday, local chickens recorded price levels ranging between 120 pounds on farms and 130 pounds for the consumer, while the price of a kilo of “mother” chickens reached about 98 pounds on the stock exchange, reaching the public at a price of 108 pounds.
In a related context, the prices of poultry parts stabilized, with the price of a kilo of penne ranging between 200 and 230 pounds, and the price of a kilo of hips reaching between 90 and 110 pounds, with a slight variation in different shops.
As for the egg market, a carton of white eggs reached about 110 pounds in bulk, reaching the consumer at a price of 130 pounds, while the price of a carton of red eggs reached 135 pounds to the consumer.
