President Abdel Fattah met SisiToday, with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Engineer Karim Badawy, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesman, stated that during the meeting, the recent movement in the prices of petroleum products and gas as a result of the escalation of events in the region was also reviewed, as the President followed up in this context on the measures being taken to provide various petroleum products for the productive sectors, for power generation stations, and for various uses.
The official spokesman explained that the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources affirmed during the meeting the commitment of the petroleum sector to continue reducing the overdue receivables of foreign partners until they are paid in full, in parallel with the regularity of paying the monthly bill and not allowing any future delays to occur, indicating that the Ministry adopts an approach based on continuous consultation with investors to learn about their requirements and proposals, and to reach the best systems that achieve the maximum mutual benefit for all parties.
