Actress Reem Mustafa revealed new details about the character of Yasmine El-Nasharty, which she embodies in the Art of War series, shown within the Ramadan 2026 drama season, noting that the character carries complex dimensions that combine strength and evil, as a result of harsh circumstances and difficult experiences that shaped her psychological features and made her a domineering and influential personality.
Reem Mustafa spoke about the challenge that the character represented for her, during television statements, saying: The idea of this part of evil was something that challenged me, and I had never done anything like her before, and she expressed her concern about the audience’s reaction to the role.
She continued: Yasmine definitely has something good in her, she is not strong, so I am afraid people will hate me.
Reem Mustafa also revealed that Yasmine El-Nasharty’s character is not inherently evil, but rather the product of long suffering in her life, continuing: Yasmine El-Nasharty in The Art of War is a victim of a difficult life she lived, poverty, a harsh home, wrong upbringing, and very many things. She did not want to remain evil, nor did she want to reach this stage.
Reem Mustafa added that Yasmine Al-Nashrati’s character acts out of fear and the desire to survive, saying: She thinks that she is defending her survival, because if she did otherwise, she imagines that she will be trampled and die, and she is coming from fear and weakness, and because she is a lonely woman and has no one in the world.
During the events of the Art of War series, Reem Mustafa embodies the character of Yasmine Al-Nasharty, who was led by family disintegration and the suffering she faced in her life to become a domineering woman looking to control everything, and she appears at work as the mastermind behind one of the fraud operations of the money-recruitment company around which the events revolve, after she succeeded in implicating her husband and escaping with the money collected from the victims.
