I witnessed Port Said Governorate During the past 24 hours, there has been intense activity by the executive agencies, as Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, Governor of Port Said, led field tours to monitor the level of services, and directed to raise the efficiency of cleaning and immediately deal with citizens’ complaints, while continuing to implement development projects in all neighborhoods.

continued Governor During a tour of the Arab neighborhood, the level of cleanliness on Street 100, he directed an urgent campaign to remove waste and spraying, as the executive agencies provided equipment and began the work of removing the accumulations immediately. He also stressed the necessity of rapid response, preserving the civilized appearance, and continuing cleaning work periodically.
The executive agencies led massive campaigns in all neighborhoods and the city of Port Fouad to lift occupancy and encroachments, targeting vital areas and markets, removing furniture and encroachments on sidewalks, and seizing violations, while taking legal measures against violators, within the framework of imposing discipline and restoring the civilized form.
The governorate followed up on the development of residential areas, as the governor inspected the development of 239 buildings in the Khalid bin Al-Walid area in the Al-Zohour district, and directed the establishment of a park to serve the people. He also followed up on the Omar Bin Al-Khattab area development project at a cost of 270 million pounds, in addition to following up on the development of 72 buildings in the Al-Sayyeda Nafisa area in the Al-Dawahi neighborhood, with an emphasis on adherence to timetables and quality standards.
The governor continued his tours by following up on the development of Palestine and Ojena Streets to preserve the heritage character, stressing the importance of paying attention to green spaces and beautification works, in addition to maximizing the benefit of the tourism components in the governorate.
The governor received a number of citizens at the governorate’s general office, where he listened to their complaints in the areas of work, education, and licensing. He directed the competent authorities to quickly examine and take the necessary measures, stressing that direct communication with citizens represents a priority to improve the level of services.
The governor also followed up in the field on the implementation of the Council of Ministers’ decision regarding the closing times of stores, as it was confirmed that the establishments adhered to the specified dates, while monitoring campaigns continued and legal measures were taken against violators, which contributes to achieving discipline and rationalizing electricity consumption.
