During the past 24 hours, Port Said Governorate witnessed intense activity at various levels, as development and service projects continued in parallel with the intensification of field campaigns, in preparation for welcoming Sham El Nessim and the spring holidays, achieving discipline in the street, and improving the level of services provided to citizens.

Intensive campaigns in preparation for Sham El-Nessim

The executive authorities followed up on the construction work of the new Al-Nasr Floating Bridge in the city of Port Fouad, in coordination with the Suez Canal Authority, in addition to the launch of the development work of the Amal Nahdet Misr area in the Suburbia neighborhood, which includes raising the efficiency of 13 residential buildings and developing the infrastructure, in order to achieve a civilizational shift in the region, in addition to continuing campaigns to remove occupancy in all neighborhoods to restore discipline to the street.

The various neighborhoods witnessed intensive campaigns, as Al-Bazaar Street in the Al-Sharq District was cleared of occupancy, encroachments were lifted in the Al-Zuhour District, and cleaning work was intensified in the Al-Arab and Al-Manakh neighborhoods, in addition to following up on the establishment of the public park in the Fourth District, and raising the efficiency of the western entrance to the governorate, in preparation for receiving visitors during the holiday season.

As part of the preparations for Sham El-Nessim and the spring holidays, the Governor of Port Said directed to raise the efficiency of parks and gardens, and to equip Port Said Beach with all services, while intensifying cleaning and maintenance work, to ensure a safe and suitable environment for citizens, in parallel with tightening rationing control over markets and bakeries to ensure the availability and quality of goods.

On the field, the Governor of Port Said followed up on the development work of the fourth district in the Manakh district, which includes paving roads, painting buildings, and modernizing the electricity and lighting networks, in addition to establishing a new park, stressing the need to adhere to timetables and quality standards in implementation. He also inspected the development work of the artificial grass field at the Port Said Fishing Club, and directed that the efficiency of the administrative building be raised to serve 1,700 members.

In a quick response to citizens’ complaints, the governor conducted a field tour inside the Social Insurance building in the Sharq district, to follow up on the overcrowding crisis, where he directed to reduce crowding, regulate the entry of citizens, and extend work periods until the evening, while emphasizing the rapid and efficient operation of the system in all offices, and providing facilities for the elderly and people of determination.

The Governor of Port Said also received a number of citizens at the governorate’s general office, and discussed their complaints in the investment, education, and service sectors, directing that urgent measures be taken to resolve them, with the continuation of periodic meetings to enhance direct communication and meet the demands of the people of the governorate.

The Governor of Port Said confirmed the continuation of work around the clock in all sectors, with the intensification of field efforts during the current period, to ensure the readiness of the governorate to receive Sham El Nessim and the spring holidays, and to achieve the highest level of services for citizens.
