I witnessed Port Said Governorate During the past 24 hours, a number of field tours and service activities were carried out by the executive agencies in the governorate, as the neighborhoods and service directorates continued to intensify their efforts to raise occupancy, improve the level of cleanliness, and develop infrastructure, in addition to following up on the progress of work on service and educational projects, within the framework of the directives of Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, Governor of Port Said, to monitor the street on the ground and improve the level of services provided to citizens.

And I witnessed Biology Intensive campaigns to remove occupancy and encroachments on roads and sidewalks, as the executive agencies in the city of Port Fouad led a campaign in the vicinity of Raswa Square to remove scattered goods and encroachments that impede the movement of citizens. The East District also continued the work of beautifying the lighting poles on July 23 Street, while the Arab District carried out campaigns to remove occupancy in the vicinity of Old Arab, in addition to similar campaigns in the Al-Manakh neighborhood and the suburbs to remove encroachments and restore discipline to the streets, while the Al-Zohour District continued to follow up on cleaning work and removing waste in a number of residential areas.

In the South District, the executive agencies carried out a campaign to remove illegal fish farms that were established without a license. The campaign resulted in the removal of encroachments on an area of ​​188 acres, as part of the state’s efforts to preserve its lands and prevent any new violations.

In terms of field tours, the Governor of Port Said inspected a number of service sites in the governorate, where he followed up on the development work of the restaurant complex square in the Manakh district and the area surrounding the Port Said Tourist Corniche, directing that the development reflect the distinctive visual identity of the city in coordination with the National Urban Coordination Agency. He also inspected Al-Hana Market in the Khadija area in the Suburbia district and directed that it be operational at full capacity, in addition to operating two service lines to facilitate citizens’ access and stimulate commercial activity in the region.

The governor also followed up on the work of removing spray accumulations from the December 23 Residences area in the Al-Zohour neighborhood, stressing the need to intensify efforts to remove waste and improve the level of cleanliness in residential areas, in addition to inspecting the development work of Lebanon Square in the Ard Al-Azab area in the Arab neighborhood, where an organized parking lot was established to reduce traffic congestion and achieve traffic fluidity in the square and the surrounding streets.

In the education sector, the governor inspected the 6th of October Secondary School for Girls in the Al-Manakh neighborhood to follow up on the regularity of the educational process. He also followed up on the work of upgrading the efficiency of 4 buildings inside the school at a cost of 6.5 million pounds, including the development of 45 classrooms, stressing the importance of providing an appropriate educational environment that helps female students achieve academic achievement and commit to attendance throughout the school year.

In the supply sector, the Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade launched an expanded monitoring campaign on markets and bakeries in the Al-Zohour district, which resulted in the seizure of expired crackers and packages of chips, in addition to issuing 3 reports for not announcing the prices of stove cylinders and two reports for producing bread that did not conform to specifications, with the necessary legal measures being taken against violators.

The governorate also witnessed a number of service and awareness activities carried out by the various directorates, as the Veterinary Medicine Directorate signed a cooperation protocol with the Agriculture Directorate to organize awareness seminars for farmers and breeders on preserving livestock, while the Youth and Sports Directorate organized an awareness seminar within the “Able to Differ” activity plan for people with abilities and determination, while the Endowments Directorate participated in providing about 1,000 breakfast meals daily in cooperation with civil society institutions in support of the families most cared for during the Ramadan.

At the conclusion of the follow-up, the Governor of Port Said stressed the necessity of continuing field tours and coordination between directorates and neighborhoods to improve the level of services provided to citizens, stressing that the governorate continues to implement development plans, raise the efficiency of streets and infrastructure, and achieve cultural discipline in all regions.
