Oppo unveiled its new foldable phone Find N6which draws attention by adopting an almost flat internal screen without a clear appearance of the folding sign in the middle, which is the problem that most foldable phones have suffered from in recent years.
The company explained that the Find N6 comes as a continuation of Oppo’s strategy of offering foldable phones in a practical size and a user experience close to that of a traditional phone when folded, while maintaining a wide and comfortable screen when opening it for work or watching content.
Flat screen and advanced hinge technology
Technical sources explained that the most prominent feature of the Find N6 is the internal screen that was developed using improved layers and a new hinge that greatly reduces creasing in the folded position, so that the screen in daily use appears closer to a regular tablet screen.
Reports indicated that OPPO relied on a redesigned hinge structure that better distributes pressure along the dividing line, which reduces the visual and tactile sensation of folding when scrolling or watching video.
The screen is also expected to support a high refresh rate and rich colors, to suit games, watching movies, and office work alike.
Practical design when folded and opened
Accompanying analyzes confirmed that Oppo has continued the compact design philosophy that it presented in previous Find generations, so that the phone remains comfortable in the hand when folded, and does not turn into an exaggeratedly long device as is the case in some competitors.
The leaks showed that the Find N6 has an aspect ratio closer to traditional phones when closed, which makes it easier to use with one hand, make calls, and write quickly.
When the device is opened, the internal screen turns into a spacious workspace that is suitable for dividing the screen between two applications, or using productivity applications and editing files and photos more comfortably than on a regular phone.
Leading specifications and powerful performance
Reports indicated that the Find N6 will not only be a phone with a different design, but it will also carry leading specifications at the processor, memory, and storage levels, to provide performance that competes with the highest-end Oppo phones and other leading phones.
The phone is expected to rely on one of the latest high-end processors, with large RAM capacities and internal storage capacity sufficient for many applications, work files, photos and video in high resolution.
The phone is also expected to support a battery with a suitable capacity with fast charging, which is an essential point in foldable phones that need good power management to feed two screens in one body.
Powerful cameras and an integrated user experience
Phone market analyzes have shown that OPPO usually focuses in its flagship phones on photography capabilities, and this is likely to be repeated with the Find N6 through an integrated camera system on the back, including a main camera with high resolution, a wide lens, and perhaps a telephoto lens.
The camera is expected to benefit from the photography modes of foldable phones, such as using the device semi-open to hold the phone on a surface and take photos or video without a tripod, or using the external screen to preview the image while photographing people with the background camera.
Thus, the Find N6 appears as an option targeting the user who wants a foldable phone with an advanced screen experience that is almost free of the folding effect, without compromising on leading specifications or practical daily use.
