Two people were killed when the roof of a bakery collapsed under a property, today, Monday, in the Al-Bitash area of the Al-Ajami neighborhood. In Alexandria.

The incident occurred when the security services of the Alexandria Security Directorate received a notification from the commander of the Dekheila Police Department, stating that a report had been received from the residents about the collapse of the roof of the bakery at the beginning of Al-Bitash Street, within the department’s jurisdiction.
Immediately, the security services, accompanied by ambulances and civil protection personnel, moved to the scene of the incident, and imposed a security cordon around the place to protect passers-by.
The initial inspection revealed that the roof of a bakery collapsed under a 6-storey property, killing two people, including a child, and the inventory is being completed.
A report on the incident was prepared at the Dekheila Police Department, and the investigating authorities were notified to begin their investigations into the incident, and the two bodies were transferred to the morgue at the disposal of the investigating authorities.
