The center and city of Qalin witnessed the implementation of an expanded campaign to traffic and inspect markets and food establishments, in order to ensure the control of markets and preserve the health and safety of citizens, within the framework of the directives of Engineer Ibrahim Makki, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, to intensify ration and control campaigns during the blessed Eid al-Fitr holiday.

The campaign resulted in the issuance of 9 various ration reports, which included violations related to non-compliance with health requirements, display of goods that did not conform to specifications, in addition to violations in some municipal bakeries for the production of subsidized bread, as part of ongoing efforts to tighten control over all ration activities.

The campaign came under the supervision of Ahmed Abdel Wahed, head of the center and city of Qalin, and the follow-up of Dr. Adel Al-Habit, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, and with the participation of Dr. Amr Al-Anah, Director of the Qalin Supply Department, and Attia Al-Adly, Director of Supply Control, in addition to the Veterinary Medicine Department led by Dr. Ahmed Zuhair, and in full coordination with the city’s deputies, village heads, and the health department.

The campaign targeted visits to shops, bakeries, slaughterhouses, restaurants and cafes, where the food items were examined and ensured that they were fit for human consumption, the extent of adherence to the set prices was reviewed, and the availability of basic goods was ensured for citizens, especially during the Eid period, which witnesses an increase in consumption rates.
