The centers and cities of Kafr El-Sheikh witnessed the continued intensification of night campaigns to sweep and suction rainwater from the main streets and squares, as part of the efforts of the executive authorities to immediately deal with the wave of unstable weather, and maintain traffic flow and the safety of citizens.
The Operations Room in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate confirmed that the situation was being monitored around the clock, as a large number of sweeping vehicles and water suction equipment were deployed, especially in low-lying areas that witness accumulations of rainwater. Coordination also took place between local units and drinking water and sanitation companies to quickly deal with any emergencies or reports from citizens.

In the same context, Engineer Ibrahim Makki, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, stressed the need to continue working on the night shift system to ensure that water does not accumulate, while raising the maximum level of preparedness in all service sectors, in anticipation of new rains during the coming hours.

The governorate called on citizens to be careful while driving, adhere to traffic instructions, and immediately report any large accumulations of water or malfunctions in drainage networks, to contribute to quickly dealing with them and reducing their effects.
