Details of a ration campaign west of Alexandria

This came during a ration campaign launched by Reham Abdel Qader, Director of the Administration, and supervised by Muhammad Al-Shafi’i, Head of Control, in conjunction with the General Administration of Supply Investigations within the scope of the administration.

The campaign comes within the preparations of the Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in Alexandria to receive Eid Al-Fitr to control the markets, ensure the safety of what reaches the consumer, and prevent fraud and manipulation.

For his part, Engineer Gamal Ammar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade in Alexandria, stressed the decisive control over refrigerators for preserving foodstuffs and stressed that legal measures would be taken against those who tamper with the citizen’s health.

Earlier, the Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in Alexandria launched an expanded ration campaign targeting a number of ration activities within the neighborhoods of Montazah First, Montazah Second, East, and Central.

The campaigns resulted in the arrest of a number of violations in municipal bakeries, as 19 reports were issued for producing underweight bread, 15 reports were issued for not giving citizens a change, 13 reports were issued for failure to clean dough tools, in addition to 10 reports for non-compliance with the setting of the bakery’s operating plate.

A number of reports were issued regarding the disposal of some municipal bakeries in quantities of fortified local flour in violation of the law, with a total of 183 bags of fortified local flour, the weight of the bag being 50 kg, for a total of approximately 10 tons of flour.

On the other hand, the campaign went to tourist bakeries and fino bakeries to raise awareness of the ministerial directive regarding setting the prices and weights of tourist and fino bread and the need to clearly announce them to citizens.

The campaigns included visiting car fuel stations to ensure the availability of petroleum products and commitment to announcing the set prices.
