The New Valley Veterinary Medicine Directorate concluded the first week of the national vaccination campaign against lumpy skin disease in cattle and sheep and goat pox, which was launched on March 28, 2026, achieving advanced vaccination rates of 16,085 heads of cows and 4,172 heads of sheep and goats, reflecting the regularity of work progress and the effectiveness of field performance.

41 preventive committees

The Directorate continues to implement the campaign through 41 preventive committees (fixed and mobile) covering 42 veterinary units in all governorate centers, supported by approved vaccines, numbering, registration and veterinary guidance work, within the framework of a plan that aims to vaccinate 80% of the animal population, with a total of about 106 thousand heads, which contributes to raising herd immunity rates and controlling epidemic diseases.

The Veterinary Medicine Directorate calls on all breeders and livestock owners to continue to cooperate with the vaccination teams and adhere to the specified dates, in order to preserve the health of the animals and maximize their productivity. To inquire or report complaints:
