The Supply Directorate continued In Minya Intensifying its monitoring campaigns on municipal bakeries, markets, and shops, to confront all forms of tampering with subsidized and strategic goods, and to ensure the quality of the goods offered and their availability to citizens, within the framework of implementing the directives of Major General Imad Kadwani, Governor of Minya.

Engineer Helmi Al-Zuhri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Minya, explained that the campaigns resulted in the issuance of 164 various ration violations, including in the field of municipal bakeries, the issuance of 149 violations, represented by the production of underweight bread, the production of bread that does not conform to specifications, non-compliance with operating instructions, failure to announce instruction signs, failure to clean dough tools, failure to give cash to citizens, and failure to keep an inspection record, in addition to controlling the case of assembling subsidized municipal flour, and confiscating a number of 7 shekels before being smuggled and sold on the black market.

He added that 9 reports were issued in the field of markets, including the seizure of goods of unknown origin, violations of slaughter outside government slaughterhouses, failure to carry health certificates, and failure to announce prices.

In the field of petroleum products, 4 reports were issued, including operating gas stations without a license, failure to announce prices, and non-compliance with safety requirements and standards, with the confiscation of 250 home gas cylinders that did not comply with safety requirements.

Regarding ration exchanges and outlets for dispensing subsidized goods, two reports were issued for failure to announce ration decisions.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply also conducted a field tour that included a number of municipal bakeries, to follow up on the regularity of work progress and to confirm full compliance with operating instructions, especially with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, to ensure that citizens obtain their shares of fortified bread according to the prescribed specifications with ease and convenience.

He pointed out that gas stations and butane depots were visited to ensure the availability of funds and compliance with the laws and regulations, in addition to following up on the disbursement of the additional grant to citizens through supply outlets, in implementation of the state’s directives to reduce the burdens on citizens during the holy month.
