Civil Protection Forces in Gharbia Governorate were able to control a fire that broke out inside a furniture showroom in the city of Mahalla al-Kubra, while material losses were estimated at millions as a result of the fire devouring large quantities of furniture.

The security services in the Gharbia Security Directorate had received a report of a fire breaking out inside a furniture showroom, on Tanta Al-Mahalla Road, within the scope of the Mahalla Center, in front of Al-Hayatem village in the Center district.
Civil protection forces immediately moved to Gharbia, supported by 15 fire engines, and a security cordon was imposed around the site to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring properties.
Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel Muti, Governor of Gharbia, and Major General Osama Nasr, Director of Gharbia Security, also moved to the site of the fire to follow up on the work of controlling the fire and ensure the regularity of firefighting efforts.
The civil protection forces in Gharbia succeeded in containing the flames and controlling the fire after intensive efforts, while a number of ambulances were dispatched in anticipation of any casualties.
