The Dakahlia Water and Sanitation Company announced the implementation of maintenance work on one of the main water lines, which requires temporarily cutting off service to a number of villages affiliated with the Dikernes and Manzala centers, today, Tuesday, February 17, 2026, within the framework of the plan of the company and the competent authorities to raise the efficiency of the networks and improve the level of service provided to citizens.
The company explained, in an official statement, that the water outage will begin from six in the morning until five in the evening on the same day, for an estimated period of approximately 11 hours, until the scheduled maintenance work on the 630 mm diameter water line in the Mit Fares – Arab Zidan line is completed.
The company indicated that the areas that will be affected by the water outage include: the local unit in Al-Rabi’at, the local unit in the Abdul Rahman facility, and the Arab Zidan area of the city of Manzala, in addition to a noticeable weakness in water pressure in the local unit in Mahmoudia during the period of implementation of the works.
The statement added that maintenance work is being carried out by the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Dakahlia, as part of a periodic program aimed at strengthening the main lines and dealing with any technical observations that may affect the efficiency of operation, ensuring the stability of the service in the long term and reducing the chances of sudden malfunctions.
The company appealed to citizens, owners of bakeries, hospitals, vital facilities, government departments, and local units, to arrange for their drinking water needs and necessary uses in advance during the outage period, confirming the payment of drinking water trucks in the affected areas when needed, and they can be requested through the company’s official communication channels.
