Dr. Ahmed Essam Farhat confirmed that loving the family of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, is a great religious matter, pointing out that getting closer to God Almighty through loving the Ahl al-Bayt and emulating their path is a praiseworthy matter.
He said during the “Read and Your Lord is the Most Generous” program broadcast on “Sada Al-Balad” channel that the family of the Prophet includes the wives of the Holy Prophet, Imam Hassan, our master Imam Hussein, Mrs. Zeinab, may God be pleased with her, Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him, and the rest of the family and relatives of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
Love of the family of the Prophet
He pointed out that love for the Prophet’s family is not just a feeling, but rather an act of worship and a means of getting closer to God, citing verses from Surah Al-Ahzab that show the virtue and status of the Prophet’s family, peace and blessings be upon him, in the Islamic religion.
Educating people and being interested in knowing the life of the people of the household
He stressed that educating people and paying attention to knowing the life of the Ahl al-Bayt increases Muslims’ understanding of their religion and strengthens Islamic values in society, calling for spreading love for the Ahl al-Bayt among new generations.
