Writer Ahmed Al-Maslamani, head of the National Media Authority, issued a decision appointing journalist Dr. Lamia Samir to the position of president of the Egyptian satellite channel. He also issued a decision appointing journalist Reda Mustafa to the position of vice president of the Egyptian satellite channel.

Who is Dr. Lamia Samir?

Dr. Lamia Samir joined Maspero after her graduation, worked in various positions at the satellite channel, and obtained a doctorate from the Faculty of Information, Cairo University.

In turn, journalist Reda Mustafa worked for the satellite channel after joining Maspero, and he became famous for his talk show with the Grand Imam, Sheikh of Al-Azhar.

The Egyptian Satellite Channel was established in 1990, and it is the dean of satellite channels in the Arab world. The Egyptian Satellite Channel’s tag, the dean, topped Trend X in December 2025 on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of its launch.

Writer Ahmed Al-Maslamani, head of the National Media Authority, addressed a congratulatory speech to the family of the Egyptian satellite channel, saying: Today we reaffirm that Maspero is rising, renewing, and returning as it always was: the voice of the Egyptian state and its authentic media address, adding: The renaissance of the national media is a responsibility shared by all the people of Maspero, every journalist who presents a respectable message, and every viewer who gives us his trust and attention.

He continued: We promise that the next stage will bring more development and modernization, more respect for the value of content, and more strong Egyptian presence on all platforms.

Fatima Hassan, Chairman of Drama FM Serial Radio

Writer Ahmed Al-Maslamani, head of the National Media Authority, issued a decision assigning broadcaster Fatima Hassan to head the serials radio station from Cairo (Drama FM).

The National Media Authority recently launched Radio Drama FM, and the radio received high listening rates, and many demanded that its broadcast be extended to cover all governorates of the Republic.
