The Egyptian national team will miss the services of Mohamed Salah during the March camp, after Liverpool coach Arne Slot announced that the player was injured during Everton’s last matches in the English Premier League.

The Saudi Arabia match will be the 48th match that the Egyptian national team plays without Mohamed Salah, since the start of his international career in September 2011, without counting the Arab Cup in Qatar 2021.

Since then, Mohamed Salah has been absent from the national team in 47 previous matches, whether at the official or friendly level, as the Pharaohs were able to win 19 matches, draw 16 matches, and suffer 12 defeats.

While the Egyptian national team players scored only 59 goals, during the 47 matches they played without the first captain, Mohamed Salah, the last of which was the match against Cape Verde, at the end of the friendly tournament in Al Ain.

It is noteworthy that Mohamed Salah participated with the Egyptian national team in 116 official matches, managing to score 65 goals in various tournaments.

She explained that expectations indicate that the closest date for Mohamed Salah’s return to the stadiums will be next April 4, when Liverpool will play a heavy-caliber confrontation against Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, at Al-Samawi Stadium.
