Media reports stated that Israel decided to exclude Spain from the Gaza civil-military coordination center in the city of Kiryat Gat in southern Israel, against the backdrop of what it described as anti-Israel positions.
This development comes in light of escalating tension between Tel Aviv and Madrid, especially after the sharp criticism directed by the Spanish government of Israeli military operations in the region, including Lebanon and Gaza.
Follow up on field developments and coordinate efforts
The coordination center in Kiryat Gat is part of an international mechanism that includes several countries to follow up on field developments and coordinate efforts, but previous reports indicated that there are increasing disagreements between Israel and some European countries regarding its role and performance.
It is worth noting that the Kiryat Gat center is the security center in which the American and Israeli forces and some other forces are located, which coordinate militarily with Israel to confront a number of tasks, whether in security or joint military.
