Dr. Ahmed Essam Farhat, Imam of Sayyida Zeinab Mosque, said that the Nile River is considered one of the rivers of Paradise, based on what was reported from the Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, explaining that this meaning is proven in the Sunnah of the Prophet, where he said that the Nile and Euphrates are among the rivers of Paradise.

Ahmed Farahat said, during the program “Read and Rabbak Al-Akram” on Sada El-Balad channel, in response to a question about the fact that the Nile River is one of the rivers of Paradise: “Yes, the Nile River is one of the rivers of Paradise and the Euphrates is also one of the rivers of Paradise, and the one who said this to us is our master Muhammad, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace.”

He added that the presence of the Nile River in Egypt is a great blessing and a great advantage for this country, pointing to Egypt’s position in the Holy Qur’an, where God Almighty mentioned it in several places, including the Almighty’s saying: “Enter Egypt, God willing, in security.”

Dr. Ahmed Essam Farhat stressed the greatness of Egypt, stressing that it is a blessed country that combines history, civilization, and divine blessings, foremost of which is the Nile River, which represents the lifeline for Egyptians throughout the ages.
