In implementation of the directives of Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Fayoum, regarding intensifying the morning and evening campaigns for general cleanliness, raising occupancy, and raising the level of preparedness to face the expected weather waves, the local unit of the Fayoum Center and City headed by Khaled Farrag, the local unit of the Youssef Al-Siddiq Center and City headed by Salem Fateeh, and the local unit of the Abshwai Center and City headed by Sherine Mohamed Mahmoud, continued implementing intensive campaigns for cleanliness and beautification, lifting occupancy, and dealing immediately with… Rainwater harvesting, within the framework of a comprehensive plan to improve the level of services and the cultural appearance.

Intensive cleanliness campaigns and increased occupancy

In the center and city FayoumIntensive campaigns were carried out for public cleanliness, beautification, and landscaping, as well as raising occupancy in a number of main and subsidiary streets and roads. The works included the streets of Fayoum City, the ring road, and the entrances to villages, in addition to the continuation of dust removal work on the ring road, and irrigation and tree planting in the central island.

The campaigns also included removing accumulations of dust and waste from the central island on the ring road, and removing garbage from the main street, the school area, the Sheikh Tayeb Mosque, and the Badal area within the scope of the local unit in Hawara Adlan. Garbage and waste were also removed from the Sila Al-Fayoum Road, the Sila Al-Mahatta Road, the old local unit, the orphan sponsorship, the veterinary unit, and the Al-Azhari Institute in the scope of the Sila local unit.

In the context of achieving traffic discipline and fluidity, intensive campaigns were implemented to remove occupancy during the morning and evening periods, which resulted in the removal of all occupancy, illegal kiosks, occupancy of street vendors and kiosks, and the violating advertisements on the sidewalks in the Abshway parking lot in the vicinity of the university in the Gharb neighborhood, with the confiscation of seized items and taking legal measures against violators, to ensure that slums do not return and to restore discipline to the street.

In the center and city of Youssef Al-Siddiq, expanded campaigns were implemented for cleanliness, removing occupancy, and immediately dealing with rainwater accumulations in a number of villages. The Shawashna village witnessed an intensive cleaning campaign on the main and secondary streets, in addition to removing rainwater accumulations, which contributed to restoring traffic flow and improving the environmental condition. The village of Kahk Bahri also witnessed intensive cleaning work to remove waste and accumulations and improve the general appearance. Cleaning work also continued, removing occupancy and removing waste from the roads and streets in the village of Qarun, in addition to Paving and leveling some sectors to facilitate the movement of citizens and vehicles.

In the center and city of Abshway, the head of the center followed up on the rapid intervention work to confront the wave of bad weather, as most of the areas of the center witnessed heavy rains accompanied by strong winds, which led to water accumulating at a number of points, where equipment was deployed in cooperation with the drinking water and sanitation facility in Abshway, to sweep the water from the areas where it collected, which included the station square, the entrance to the city in front of the Abshway Church, the entrance to the city on the Abshway/Aboksah tourist road, in front of the National Bank, and other areas, as was done. Clearing water accumulations from the local unit of Bishkek, in front of Lake Qarun, the local unit of Sinro al-Qabliyya, and the Abshway/Fayoum tourist road.

As part of the rapid response, the equipment of the local unit, “electricity vehicles and the work team,” was directed to maintain a lighting pole that fell as a result of the winds in the area of ​​the local unit in Shakshuk, where it was replanted and the wires connected, in addition to restoring and planting an electricity pole at the entrance to Ezbet al-Harjawiyya of the local unit in Senro al-Qibliya. Road surveying work was also carried out and the mud layer resulting from the rain was removed in the local unit in Nassaria using the unit’s equipment.

This comes as a continuation of the intensive campaigns for cleanliness, raising occupancy, and raising the degree of preparedness to face any weather fluctuations, while quickly dealing with their repercussions in a timely manner, in a way that ensures improving the environment, preserving the safety of citizens, and raising the efficiency of the services provided to them.
