The Sohag Health Directorate announced the implementation of an expanded deployment plan for community outreach teams and medical teams around churches and gathering places in various governorate centers, as part of the state’s keenness to provide integrated and safe health services to citizens, and coinciding with the glorious Easter celebrations.

This comes in implementation of the directives of Professor Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, and His Excellency Major General Tariq Rashid, Governor of Sohag, regarding intensifying the medical presence and health services during the holidays, especially presidential initiatives, awareness and health education services.
Dr. Amr Dowidar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Sohag, explained that the level of maximum readiness has been raised in all public, central and private hospitals, in addition to ambulance points, while ensuring the availability of medicines and medical supplies, reviewing blood bank balances, and ensuring the regularity and presence of medical staff around the clock.
He added that field follow-up teams were dispatched from the various departments of the Directorate to follow up on the progress of work, and to prepare daily reports to be presented to the Emergency and Crisis Room of the Directorate to ensure rapid response to any developments.
Dowidar pointed out the deployment of presidential initiatives teams around churches and main squares, under the supervision of Dr. Shaima Alaa Karim, Initiatives Coordinator, to provide screening, early detection and health awareness services to citizens, in parallel with the deployment of ambulances to secure the celebrations.
For her part, Dr. Sahar Awaja, Director of the Caravan Department, explained that a number of mobile medical clinics have been deployed near a number of churches, to provide immediate and free medical services to citizens.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health stressed that the state pays great attention to the health and safety of citizens, and always strives to provide the best level of health services on various occasions, extending his sincere congratulations to the Coptic brothers on the occasion of the glorious Resurrection Day, wishing them continued health and peace.
