The South Sinai Endowments Directorate announced its intensive advocacy plan for the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH, to cover all cities and villages in the governorate, through integrated Qur’anic, scientific, and advocacy activities, ensuring the spread of the moderate approach and the consolidation of religious values ​​in society.

Sheikh Al-Sayyid Youssef Ghait, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments in South Sinai, told Cairo 24 that the Ramadan plan comes under the auspices of Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, under the supervision and follow-up of the Endowments Directorate, and in cooperation with the advocacy departments: mosques – religious guidance – Quran affairs.

He pointed out that the South Sinai Endowments plan is summarized in five axes, which are:

First: rituals, scientific lessons, and a stable platform
Holding Tarawih prayers daily in all mosques, with preaching thoughts.

Implementing 109 systematic lessons weekly during the holy month.

109 councils were held to read the Burdah in mosques that have imams.

Organizing 109 advocacy lessons within the fixed platform program twice a week, with a total of 872 lessons.

The Islamic Thought Forum was held in 8 major mosques after Tarawih prayers.

Second: The “Correct Your Concepts” initiative and institutional cooperation

Implementing 109 joint seminars and lectures in cooperation with various institutions during the Holy Month.

Third: Qur’anic activities and memorization offices
Activating 111 offices to memorize the Holy Quran daily to care for young people.

Operating 111 mosques for public readers on a weekly basis.

Allocating 5 mosques for Fajr reciters.

Organizing 15 recitations within the “Correct Your Recitation” program.

Holding 5 member readers, with a total of 32 members.

Implementing the educational program for children in 109 mosques, with evenings of religious supplications being held in major mosques.

Fourth: Itikaf, Tahajjud, and social work
29 mosques are designated for Tahajjud prayer in the last ten days.

Preparing 8 mosques to receive pilgrims in accordance with the regulatory controls.

Allocating one mosque to set up a central iftar table for those who are fasting.

Fifth: Eid al-Fitr

Preparing 7 major squares at the governorate level for Eid al-Fitr prayers.

Holding Eid prayers in 94 mosques in the governorate.

Sheikh Sayyed Youssef Ghait stressed the necessity of full commitment to implementing the plan’s provisions with precision and mastery, while intensifying field follow-up to ensure the readiness and cleanliness of mosques, stressing that the role of the imam is a missionary and enlightening message that contributes to spreading the spirit of compassion and solidarity, and that the directorate has harnessed all its capabilities to serve the houses of God and the guests of the Most Merciful during the holy month.
