Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel Moati, Governor of Gharbia, directed to quickly examine a complaint received from a citizen in the Thani al-Mahalla neighborhood, which included that he and a number of residents were harmed by the closure of Street 55 in the Mansheyet al-Bakri area by someone in charge of construction work, which is one of the main and vital streets in the area, which caused obstruction of the movement of passers-by and vehicles and prevented citizens from going to work in the morning.

Immediately, and in implementation of the governor’s directives, the Director of Public Works in the Thani al-Mahalla district went to the site of the complaint, where the violation was immediately dealt with in the field, the necessary legal measures were taken, a occupancy report and an environmental report were issued, the reasons for the complaint were removed, and the entire street was opened to the movement of citizens, which restored traffic flow to normal.

The governor explained that the speed of responding to complaints represents a consistent approach in executive work in the governorate, stressing the continuation of intensive campaigns to remove occupancy and address any encroachments on the right of way or building violations, in order to preserve the rights of citizens, preserve the prestige of the state, and apply the law to everyone without exception.
