Ahmed Bilal, the former Al-Ahly player, confirmed during television statements that the capabilities of the team’s players were sufficient to achieve victory in a number of major matches, indicating that the current performance does not reflect their true capabilities.
Bilal explained that technical director Yes Torop was supposed to leave earlier, expressing his lack of confidence in the technical staff or the level of some players during the recent period.
He added that Al-Ahly fans will not accept losing the league title, stressing that the pressure will be great on the players if they do not win the championship this season, to the point that they will not be able to walk in the street among the fans.
In a related context, Bilal called on the club’s management to comprehensively re-evaluate the team’s roster, stressing the need to make broad changes during the coming period.
He pointed out the importance of making decisive decisions regarding the departure of a number of players of the current generation, with the aim of renewing blood within the team, explaining that the change may include prominent names such as Mahmoud Trezeguet, Ahmed Sayed Zizou and Imam Ashour, in light of the need for a comprehensive rebuilding to restore balance and competitive strength.
Bilal also criticized Al-Ahly’s performance in their last match against Smouha, stressing that the team did not deserve to win, in light of the unconvincing level it showed throughout the match.
He added that the team did not perform as expected despite achieving victory in the last minutes, stressing that Al-Ahly fans were the most prominent element in the match, describing them as the man of the match for the continuous support and assistance they provided despite the decline in performance.

In another context, Bilal sharply criticized the level of Nasser Mansi, the Zamalek striker, stressing that his capabilities are modest and do not require exaggeration in praise of him.
He pointed out that exaggerating the capabilities of some players is illogical, pointing out that describing a player with these capabilities as a legend is a great exaggeration, saying: If we call Nasser a legend, the league will remain safe.
