The artist Ahmed Abdullah Mahmoud underwent an investigation session at the headquarters of the Acting Professions Syndicate today, against the backdrop of the crisis in his statements about the late artist Rushdi Abaza, which sparked controversy recently, while he was keen to clarify his position and offer an official apology.

The head of the Actors Syndicate, Dr. Ashraf Zaki, and members of the Syndicate’s Board of Directors specifically apologized, in appreciation of their role in preserving the values and status of the profession.
The Syndicate of Acting Professions affirmed its adherence to its established principles, foremost of which is respect and appreciation for the symbols of art and its pioneers among the giants of Egyptian cinema, stressing the necessity of adhering to the values of the profession and preserving its history and the status of its symbols among different generations.
Ahmed Abdullah’s apology to Rushdi Abaza’s family

The artist Ahmed Abdullah Mahmoud published an official apology on his official page on the social networking site Facebook, in which he said: All my life, since I was a child, I have watched the late artist Rushdi Abaza, a legend on the artistic and humanitarian levels, and I am sorry if my expression betrayed me while I am like millions of Egyptians and the Arab world who are fans of this man… Rushdi Abaza.
